Blue Print Rally - over £24,000 raised

Date Listed: 18/08/2008

In May, ADL hosted 'The 2008 Blue Print Rally' in which 23 teams drove their sub £500 cars from our head offices in Marden - Kent, across Europe on a 2000 mile drive to our offices in Lisbon - Portugal. The purpose of the rally was to raise money for charity, with the main benefactor being BEN, the automotive industry charity.

All teams safely made the journey without any major mechanical breakdowns, although ADL's lead car, 'Elvis', did have a minor thermostat issue on day 2!

In total there has been over £24,000 raised for charity, with £10,000 of it going to BEN, so a huge congratulations to the teams for all of their efforts.

£807 was also raised for our local Kent Air Ambulance by the two ADL teams, Rob Head (rally organiser) and Stuart Harcourt in team 'The Blue Print Brothers' & Paul Ralph and Nick Harwood in team '2Fat2Flatulent'.

The rally was deemed a huge success, and there is the possibility of a similar event being held in 2010!
